There are so many types of diamonds, they could drive you crazy. The colorless ones are known as white diamonds, while other types are green, blue, red, orange, yellow, and brown. They vary in quality, and thence, in price. You want a necklace for your daughters wedding, just choose your pick but of course, you should be ready to pay big for it. Diamond jewelries dont come cheap. Why should they when they are so precious! Some diamond stones have been known to sell for millions of dollars. There is nothing to it besides the effects that its various properties and qualities have on its market value. Sometimes they are good, and sometimes they are not so good, but most of the time, some poor sucker is happy to stake their money for it. And I wouldnt blame them either. I would too, if I had many millions of dollars to spend on niceties. When exposed to sunlight, there are certain diamond types that appear to emit light. A number of other ultraviolet-light sources also cause reactions like this. Most times the color comes out light blue or yellow, but sometimes it is a brilliant orange, or red, like you have never seen before. Why wouldnt you want to have it? I know I would. For the most part, jewelers rarely use diamonds as gems unless they are single crystals. Naturally, they also prefer that the crystal be large enough for you to see and appreciate. How else would they sell anything if you always have to scrutinize it with a glass before you believe it is real? Ballas, bort and carbonado are types of diamond. One is like a collection of many little diamond crystals, while another is like a single crystal broken into many pieces. The not very attractive one is the grayish carbonado. Mostly, these guys never see a ring to adorn, they live and die in the factory, not that they die too easily at that.
